I am from…Phoenix, Arizona, but currently live in…New York City!

By day, I am…the Creative Director for Dennis Basso and Stallion Inc.

In five words, I am…independent, beautiful, creative, inspiring, and empowering.

My personal mantra is…Dream. Believe. Do. Repeat.

Initially, I was inspired to enter fashion by…my mother. She has a continuous drive to seek out the opportunity to do things that she is passionate about in life. I always loved art and fashion and she pushed me to take this passion and turn it into a career where I could do what I love and love what I do.

When women wear Dennis Basso, I want them to feel…feminine, unique, confident, and glamorous. I believe in speaking to the whole woman.

I describe my work as being…innovative. I always try new ways to combine materials and details. It’s important that the Dennis Basso brand resonate with the young, modern, and feminine woman.

My biggest challenge to date…reflects my biggest accomplishment.  I began designing at 23 years old at Dennis Basso during the 2008 economic crash. With a very small team, minimal support, and no system to follow, I had to fight and keep pushing every day since to establish the brand, myself and how we were going to fit together.

The most rewarding aspect of being a designer is…conceptualizing an idea from a sketch into reality and seeing it come alive either walking the runway, the red carpet, down the aisle, or just into a room and seeing the reaction.

My role model is…is also my mentor. She’s a jewelry designer, Kara Ross. Her continuous drive to support women across every industry is remarkable. She recently launched Diamonds Unleashed which empowers women everywhere to be brilliant. She has set the standard for me in becoming the modern, professional, and beautiful woman that I strive to be every day.

I find daily inspiration via… my Yogi tea! I drink lots of green tea throughout the day and love the inspiring quotes on each bag.

I empower others by…designing pieces that make the wearer look and feel special and full of self confidence. When you are confident, you are able to empower yourself and others around you.  It’s important to me to be an integral part of that cycle.

My personal style can be described as…very uptown meets downtown. It’s casual, but definitely put together.

My 5 must haves…

The perfect weekend is…sweating it out at Title Boxing with trainer John Pina aka “Johnny Love”, walking “Ginger” my pitbull, and hanging with my husband. I’m rather laid back.

I can’t help but move to…Sia featuring Sean Paul Cheap “Thrills”. It’s silly and girly.

Oh yea, if I wasn’t a designer, I would be a…Muay Thai boxer!
